Early Refills for Prescription Eye Drops- The Law in Oklahoma

Patients with chronic eye conditions are now able to get early refills of eye drop prescriptions.

OAO has brought relief to patients via the passage of HB1819: the Early Eye Drop Refill Bill. Patients covered by any health benefit plan issued or renewed on or after November 1, 2017 may have their prescription eye drops refilled when at least 70% of the dosage has been used or 21 of the 30 days has passed.  For information regarding the law and how to get your prescriptions filled early, Click here for the detailed information provided by the Oklahoma Academy of Ophthalmology.
