General Ophthalmology

Dr. Briggs attended Metro Christian Academy for his early education. He received a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Oklahoma State University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA. He attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City and spent his clinical training at the OU-Tulsa School of Community Medicine where he was selected for membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society which is reserved for the top 15% of the class. He also received the Dr. Fred G. Silva Medical Leadership Award which is reserved for the single medical student chosen by the faculty for being a model of leadership in the field of medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Storm Eye Institute of the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Dr. Briggs is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and specializes in General and Comprehensive Ophthalmology. Those services include Cataract surgery with traditional, astigmatism-correcting, and multifocal lenses, glaucoma screening and treatment, laser (SLT) and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), diabetic eye exams as well as comprehensive eye exams and glasses prescriptions.
Dr. Briggs was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and has demonstrated a heart of service by participating in numerous international medical mission trips and domestic free healthcare clinics providing compassionate medical and surgical services to those who cannot afford it.
